Event description |
As we are still social distancing and unable to deliver courses face-to-face due to the current government guidance, we have decided to deliver this course online through Zoom.
An Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) is a legal document that brings together a child’s education, health and social care needs and provisions into one plan. Most young children with SEND will have their needs met through SEN Support. However, a small number of children, with significant difficulties who may still not be making expected progress, despite the provisions put in place due to the complexity of their needs may need an EHCP. In this case the setting, in consultation with the child’s parents/carers, as well as external agencies may apply for a statutory assessment of special educational needs using ‘Ealing’s Request for Statutory Assessment’ (ERSA).
These workshops aim to provide bespoke support and guidance to help you complete the ERSA. Our early years team will be on hand to answer any questions and to help you work through specific challenges.
Before you book onto this workshop you will need: - To complete a draft version of the ERSA for the relevant child in your setting - Bring the draft ERSA form and supporting documents to the workshop - Bring any specific questions / queries / challenges that you are experiencing.
Before you book on to this workshop it is advisable (but not essential) for you to have attended the following courses: - Applying for an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) for Early Years Providers - Provision Maps for Early Years Providers
