Event description

As we are still social distancing and unable to deliver courses face-to-face due to the current government guidance, we have decided to deliver this course online through Microsoft Teams.

Please note this is a 5-part online course therefore you must be available for all the dates of this course to receive your certificate; delegates cannot transfer any of these dates to another online course.

With the introduction of the revised SEND Code of Practice in 2014/15, a greater priority was placed on the early years to provide high quality and consistent support to children with SEND.  The progress of those children most vulnerable to delay is the responsibility of all, including key people, parents, SENCOs, specialist's and early years leaders.  This multi-agency course provides you with the foundations to build whole-setting support for children with SEND.

This practical and interactive course will support your understanding in:

• Ealing's SEN support in line with the government expectations as outlined in the SEND Code of Practice (14/15)
• High-quality teaching and inclusive practice including targeted and specialist support
• The four broad areas of SEND
• The importance of high-quality referrals and the graduated approach
• The strategies and interventions that are most effective with children who have SEND
• The importance of collaborative working with families, colleagues and Ealing services

Course Pre-Requisites
This course is aimed at practitioners working with children between the ages of 0 and 5 years of age.
The setting must be based in Ealing, otherwise an additional fee will be incurred.
