Trauma informed practice - complex childhood developmental trauma
To equip practitioners in the neurobiological approach to complex childhood trauma and consider how it impacts on practice. |
Training objectives |
By the end of this workshop attendees will have:
- A full understanding of the impact of trauma, in all domains
- Consider ACES - how it fits into this
- Have a full understanding of formal ways of working with trauma
- Practice empathic and relational approaches - what can you do in your work
- Examine your cases from a trauma informed lens
- Look at all parts of the brain
- How are current traumas affecting us and the families we work with
- To think about the impact of trauma on ourselves and how we manage it.
