Event description | Following the recent revised EYFS Profile moderation process, the non-statutory training and cluster meetings have continued to be provided to support those teachers / practitioners who have responsibility for completing the EYFS profile assessment for their children at the end of the reception year (including PVIs with reception-aged children). Please note, that the approaches discussed and implemented within these sessions will also be applicable to those PVI leaders with responsibility for ensuring the accuracy and consistency of judgments of their statutory 2-Year-Old Progress Checks within their settings. EYFSP Moderation Training (non-statutory) The training session will include: · Principles of EYFS Profile assessments · Key messages re: revised EYFSP moderation approach · EYFSP video exemplification: structure, content, conversational style · Open-ended questions to inform internal / cluster moderation dialogue · Practicing collaborative and informal moderation dialogue · Reflections and next steps NB: During the collaborative and informal moderation dialogue, teachers / practitioners will discuss observations about a sample of their own children’s development with other EYFS teachers, practitioners and / or year 1 teachers.
